The chair of Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components (PEM) at RWTH Aachen University, founded in 2014 by Professor Achim Kampker, is a leading hub for research and innovation in electric mobility with more than 100 researchers and postdocs. PEM focuses on battery systems, fuel cells, electric powertrain production, and full vehicle concepts. The chair is deeply involved in teaching, research projects, and partnerships with industry leaders, aiming to create a seamless innovation chain from basic research to large-scale production. The institute organizes at least six different lectures on the topics of e-mobility production every year.
