2013
IT ALL STARTS WITH AN INNOVATION
Our history began with Streetscooter – a smart, flexible and electric pickup truck. Since 2014, we guided companies to bring great ideas on the road. In the future, we will follow our goal to deliver innovations for safe, high-quality, and scalable battery systems and energy storage solutions.
2014
FOUNDATION FOR INNOVATION
With the founding of PEM Aachen GmbH and the PEM Chair at RWTH Aachen University, we laid the cornerstone for bridging academic excellence and industry-driven innovation. From day one, our mission was clear: turning pioneering ideas into reality.
2015
¡HOLA MÉXICO!
The founding of PEM Motion México marked our first international chapter. From Aachen to San Luis Portosí, we built strong local partnerships and supported companies in shaping the mobility of tomorrow.
2019
HELLO, AMERICA!
With PEM Motion USA, we extended our global footprint across the Atlantic. Our U.S. team empowered businesses to innovate faster and bring sustainable technologies onto the road.
2020
EXPANDING OUR FACilities
New location, more capacities. We've moved to the Avantis business park—with an expanded electrical workshop and plenty of space for fresh ideas. Fun fact: Since then, our offices have been spread across two countries, as the German-Dutch border runs right through the building.

10 YEARS OF PEM MOTION
A decade of innovation, growth, and global impact. We celebrated 10 years of PEM Motion – a journey fueled by collaboration, pioneering spirit, and the drive to accelerate sustainable mobility.

SHAPING THE FUTURE
A new chapter begins. With a clear focus on Battery Compliance & Testing, BMS Solutions, and Operations Support & Training, we continue to empower our partners to build safe, high-quality, and scalable battery and energy storage solutions.
With the new battery analysis laboratory, a first decisive step has been taken to gradually expand capacities for customers.
