With a strong Systems Engineering background, we follow the V-model for product development. We work together with you along the different steps of the process to assure an outcome that meets your performance and cost targets.
DEFINITION
Gathering of customer requirements in terms of characteristics, functional behavior, performance, boundary conditions, quality, regulations and costs in the form of interviews to address all essential aspects of development.
SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE
Elaboration of a system architecture design in terms of convergence of electronic and electrical hardware, communication interfaces, software applications, cabling, mechanical designs and thermal management.
ENGINEERING
Detailed engineering of the battery electronics, software and mechanics. DFM, DFT and DFA methods are continuously applied to the design.
TESTING & VALIDATION
Iterative validation of the requirements specifications against the samples according to product development process (A, B, C, D sample). Full acceptance of the product in all terms.
RAMP-UP
The battery is released for production at one of our partner’s locations. A supply chain assessment is performed to ensure the right service level required by the customer.
LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT
The product lifecycle is managed from the design, procurement, manufacturing, IP and distribution perspectives to assure a seamless lifecycle until the End-of-Life status is reached.
OUR BMS IS A
CUSTOMIZED SOLUTION
Every application is unique and some level of customization is required most of the times. Our family of BMS was designed with a strong modularity concept. Below the different possible options and configurations:
RAIL VOLTAGE
Our range of BMS are suitable for the smallest applications (3.6V, 7.2V, 10.8V and 14.4V) and common low-voltage rails (24V, 36V, 48V, 72V and 96V).
Architecture
Depending on the cell arrangement and mechanical construction we offer the following options:
Centralized: A single central module handles all functions.
Distributed: Individual cell modules each have electronics connected to a central module.
Power Path
Common path: Charge and discharge functions share the same power path.
Segregated: Charge and discharge functions have its own power path enabling advanced battery control.
SWITCHING DEVICE
Solid state: MOSFETs
are used.
Electromechanical: Relays and contactors are used.
BALANCING
Voltage based: Basic balancing algorithm used in well matched batteries.
SOC / SOH based: Advanced balancing algorithm used in systems aiming for the highest performance and lifecycle.
INTERFACE
External interfaces ported on CAN and RS232 protocols.
PROTECTIONS
A complete suite of soft and hard (primary and secondary) protections available.
Voltage based, Current based, Temperature based, Fuse and open wire monitoring.
